Sahih al-Bukhari, is one of the al-Kutub al-Sittah (six major hadith books) of Sunni Islam. These prophetic traditions, or hadith, were collected by the Persian Muslim scholar Muhammad al-Bukhari and transmitted through oral generations. Sunni Muslims see this as one of the top three collections of Hadith along with Sahih Muslim and Imam Muwatta Malik. In some circles it is seen as the most authentic book after the Koran.
